Achilles tendon been sore for so long… like 1 year and pops! What should I do?
I do tae kwon do, play basketball and tennis. Been sore for quite a while and pops when I stand on my toes. It doesn’t hurt that bad, but only after sports or tae kwon do. Whenn it pops it is just a split second of pain, then its gone. It only really hurts when I rub it.
my parents say its ok and will go away, but hasn’t
and it doesn’t hurt that much

lol sorry, i thought you were talking about Achilles Greek War hero
I think u need to go see a doc.
Ice and ibuprofen. Do not let a doctor inject it with cortisone (steroids) There is a high incidence of rupture with steroids (just on that particular joint). You may need to see an orthopedist to get a good medical exam
See a podiatrist.
Hmmm. This is a toughy. But I’m going to go out there and venture an answer….ask a doctor? Just a thought.
One would think that you would have seen a doctor long before this!!!!
Get a foot roller, it massages the base of your foot while you roll your foot over it. I had terrible trouble with my achilles tendon and plantar fasciitis until my massage therapist told me about the foot roller.
I could’ve saved a lot of time, money and agony by using it from the beginning. It probably only costs $10 at the most.
you could have some microtears. I suggest you see a PT or a orthopedic md…
You’ve done a very silly thing by continuing to play with an injury for over a year. You could have done yourself permanent damage. At the first sign of trouble with your Achilles tendon, you should have got it looked at.
Go to your doctor or physiotherapist right away and get their opinion on it. They’re professionals. Good luck.
