Achilles tendon hurts. What should i do?
Here’s the story:
I was playing basketball a few days ago. I was dribbling down court and came to a jump stop. When I came to that jump stop, my right foot slipped forward, and I think that caused my achilles tendon to stretch out. I didn’t notice the pain until i was doing some shooting where i have to jump.
So it’s been 3 days now, and it is not as bad as the 1st day after the injury. It hurts when i jump, and it hurts when i do calf raises.
Is this serious? What should i do?

have your sports trainer ( if you are on a school team) release your Gastrocnemius and Soleus muscles. when they meet at the heel it creates the achillies tendon.
a way to stretch it out yourself would be to pull your foot upwards using the muscles themselves. or take a towel or dog leash and wrap it around your foot. while sitting on the floor w/ the leg stretched out, try to push out while resisting w/ the towel or leash. if you have a partner, they can hold your foot while you try to bend it upwards to help stretch it out.
both will help stretch and strengthen the tendon and muscles of your calf.
