achilles tendon pain after exercise?
I am a 1st yr basketball ref. After my 1st five games I started have pain in my heels and achilles tendon area. Will high-tops help? Insoles? Anything?

High to/ insole MAY help temporarily…… Is better to stretch out the tendon to avoiding probrem.
I trying various shoe/ insert. They offering me only short term relief. High top help offer support for ankle, not really much help for tendon .
Definitely insoles will help relieve the stress of being on your feet for a long period of time. You are also correct to think of using a shoe that will give more ankle support.
Prior to the game you should warm up your muscles and then once warmed up a little stretch. Throughout the game take some time to do some ballistic stretching (just shake your leg and let your weight loosen up the muscles.
