Achilles tendon pain when pushing off with toes?
I am a fourteen year old male and have been conditioning for track. This pain just started, and it is sudden and severe. It only lasts when I run or take steps. I have not had any injuries to my ankle, but I pulled both hip flexors one year ago and they still hurt me. Can someone help?

The issue with your hip flexors could have caused an issue with the Achilles tendon such as strain of that area (an example only).
Because of how long the hip flexor pain has been going on for and now the issue with the Achilles tendon starting I would recommend letting your parents and your doctor know what’s going on so that they can help you keep an eye on the situation.
Better be careful whatever you do with an Achilles injury. I’m sure that you don’t know a whole lot about them because no one cares about Achilles injuries until they have them but let me tell you that they can get out of control. Continuing to beat up on them usually just makes them worse and worse and they can turn chronic and can affect you for the rest of your life, like me. If I were you, I would devote 100% of my efforts to doing whatever it takes to get it to heal ASAP, nothing else should come before it. Don’t put athletics above your recovery or you may end up screwing your self out of participating in athletics at your fullest ability for the rest of your life and that just ain’t worth it man. I can’t tell you how much it sucks to have a chronic Achilles injury, take care of your health first. Longevity is the key, believe me. You probably need to rest it at this point, track and field is a brutal sport for an Achilles tendon. Definitely see a doctor and for God’s sake, take care of what you’ve got.
