Achilles tendon problem? Please help ASAP if you can! Thank you!?
Hi, I think that I did something to my achilles tendon, as it’s been hurting significantly for over a week now. It’s very painful RIGHT where the achilles tendon is (I’ve looked at diagrams so I know exactly where it is). It hurts when I move my foot in all directions, but especially when I bend my foot upwards (as if I was trying to touch the top of my toes to the front of my shin). It also hurts extremely bad if I press on the area, even lightly. I can’t even walk on it, yet I have no idea what I could have done to it. I think it was running in high heels. Occasionally I get a tingly/pins and needles feeling along the bottom of my foot. Also, sometimes when I try to rotate it, maybe 4 out of 5 times a day, it makes a loud cracking/snapping noise. Does this sound like a strain, or a tear, or something of that sort? I don’t want to go to the doctors and act like a baby about it if it’s just a little sprain, but I’m very tolerant of pain and this is so bad that I wince when I step on it
I’ve waited a week and it keeps feeling worse… should I wait any longer or go to the doctors ASAP? What could it be? Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!

Sounds like you stretched it. This muscles does NOT stretch, so when you stretch it, it hurts like hell!
You need to go to a foot doctor. They will give your a cortisone shot, and they you need to wear shoes with arch supports. Dr Shoals sells good arch supports at Walmart.
Those dang high heels! More then likely you pulled the muscle and yes it is very painful. Ice it. Keep stretching it. You may want to see the doctor, maybe you did more to it then just a pull?
Lay off those high heels!! Those things are terrible for women! Just something else a man invented for us to wear….and does damage!
Ice, more ice. and stretching it is what I always did when I was a runner.
This did not help much but I hope some?
