I am a relatively light runner, usually my feet are the last thing on my mind. I have pretty springy steps. I strike midfoot. anyways, my achilles tendon hurt for a few miles lately, and I was worried it might snap. I have to run 8 miles today for xc, nothing can be done about that, and i have no pains right now…

I was slowly jogging and all of the sudden I got a sharp pain in the back of my heel. It’s not the Achilles Tendon because it’s lower then that. Anyway it’s been hurting for over 3 weeks now, and it hurts worse in the morning or after limited movement. It hurts to the touch, but doesn’t look bruised or swollen. What the heck did I do??

Before you respond with “Go see a doctor”, thats the plan here, just wanna know what im facing when I go.

Whenever I have my right leg at full extension, and I attemp to raise my toes, I get a nasty burning sensation that feels like it is coming from exactly where the Achilles tendon meets the heel bone. Bursa Sac? Tendon issues? What does this sound like to you guys?

I have a stinging pain on the outside of both heels. The left foot hurts worse than the right. Both Achilles tendons hurt too. I walk and jog 5 days a week for 30 minutes. It is getting where I am going to have to ride a stationary bike if the pain worsens. Any idea what this could be? I don’t think it is plantar faciaitis(sp?), however, might be wrong. The pain is not anywhere in the arch. Thanks, Rock

I severely sprained my ankle about 4+ weeks ago and the diagnosis was that i had partially torn 2 ligaments. I was prescribed a walking boot which i wore for about a week. My foot is still painful but i can walk and even run I do however still feel pain in the back of my foot above the heel. There’s pain when i extend the foot full length and when i rescind it back. There is also pain in the area where i tore the ligaments (the outside of my right ankle) when i try to stretch that area. Doctor told me my achilles tendon was in place and there were no fractures, i had x-rays done. What could be causing pain in the back of my heel?
Could it be a stress fracture in the heel?

I hurt my achilles tendon and it is very painful.I went to my doc and was basically told time would cure it.A long time.But has anyone else had this problem and what can be done to lessen the pain.It throbs sometimes.thanks

well i have had heel pain for 3 weeks before i went to the doctor and she said i have plantar facitis (cant spell) and she told me to get a x ray. I took the ex ray and it was fine. what is the problem?
it hurts somewhere around the achilles tendon or a bit below, and then the bottom of the heel whenever i run and such? its still not healing.
