The Houston Texans made a statement in their opener by using a dominant effort by Arian Foster on the ground to earn a rare win over the Indianapolis Colts.Duplicating that performance on the road figures to be more difficult, even with Indianapolis missing some key weapons for Peyton Manning.The Texans seek their first win in nine tries in Indianapolis on Monday night when they face a Colts team trying to avoid an 0-3 start in the powerful AFC South.Houston (4-2) improved to 2-15 all-time against Indianapolis (4-2) with a 34-24 victory Sept. 12 behind Foster’s career highs of 33 carries, 231 yards rushing and three touchdowns — all in the second half — on the ground.

“We know what kind of game plan we have to put together,” Foster said. “But the execution is going to be different, because the atmosphere of the game is going to be different. It’s a whole different animal.”The Colts haven’t shown much improvement in their rushing defense since that game. They rank 26th against the run, allowing 137.3 yards per game while Foster is third in the league with an average of 105.8 yards.”You’re going to see some of it at least, some of the game plan that they had put together for us in that first game, I would assume,” Indianapolis coach Jim Caldwell said.The Texans have to feel they are getting closer to an elusive victory in Indianapolis after leading in the second halves of last two visits. Both teams enter off bye weeks, and the Colts received plenty of bad news.

They will be without Pro Bowl tight end Dallas Clark and receiver Austin Collie, who both caught touchdown passes from Manning in Week 1. Clark is out for the season with a wrist injury while Collie, who has a team-high six touchdown receptions, has an injured right thumb that could sideline him for several weeks. Rookie receiver Blair White is expected to get more snaps while Jacob Tamme, who has six career receptions and none this year, will replace Clark.Running back Joseph Addai is doubtful with a shoulder injury, and backup Donald Brown is questionable with a lingering hamstring problem. That may leave Mike Hart to make his first NFL start.”As a group, I think we will all be working together to fill that void,” Tamme said. “Whatever position we get put in, we will go out there and do our best.”

The Colts have won seven of nine AFC South titles, losing three division games once when they went 3-3 in 2006. The South is the only division with three teams with two losses entering Week 8, and Indianapolis knows a loss Sunday could be too much to overcome.”Obviously, we have our work cut out for us after losing two division games already,” center Jeff Saturday said. “(Houston) coming in here, it’s a home division game. Those are the ones that you have to win and secure to keep yourself on track.”The Texans should receive a boost with the return of left tackle Duane Brown, who is back after finishing his four-game suspension for violating the NFL’s policy on banned substances. Brown turned in a solid effort in helping neutralize Pro Bowl defensive end Dwight Freeney in the opener, and is up for the challenge again.

“You can’t expect to just go out there and just show up, and think it’s going to happen again,” Brown said. “We still have to work for every yard we get. They’re not going to give us anything easily. It’s all about just going out there and getting it done.”Houston has made a change with reigning defensive Rookie of the Year Brian Cushing taking over at middle linebacker for DeMeco Ryans, who suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury Oct. 17 in a win over Kansas City. Cushing has started at outside linebacker.”I’m just doing what they want me to do,” Cushing said. “I’m excited about the new opportunity. With DeMeco down, somebody had to step up. Coach asked me, and I’m more than willing to do it.”The Colts will be facing a Texans defense that ranks last in the NFL, allowing 410.5 yards per game. Indianapolis amassed 463 yards in the opener.”We’re pretty familiar with them,” Manning said. “We know how important a game it will be.”

Ok, I have four brothers(ya i know, im the only girl :/) and I’m the shortest of the three(not the fourth ). So, i wear high heels all the time. Now, my second younger brother, Samir, was sick of me wearing ‘heels all the time because it always made a noise. So, we had a bet: He said that if he wore high heels for three days straight with no medical issues, then I have to stop wearing them for a month. He wanted me to be in pain too by making me wear flats for three days. So our bet began, then ended. So, hes basically a cross country runner and apparently his mile time decreased tremendously(it was like 6:30 but now its like 7:10) apparently, this made him very disappointed. So i continued wearing high heels(and yes, he lost) so then, he kept complaining that the bottom of his toes hurt(mainly the big fat one aka the thumb) and whenever he runs, his achilles tendon hurts. But the pain for the the tendon decreased, but the pain for the toes comes randomly(whether he runs or not). So he wont stop bugging me and he called me a legend for wearing 5″ heels all the time(I know, im that amazing!) he asked if i can ask everyone if there is any solution. he also is about 12 1/2 so i know he went through puberty and he got talller than me by like 3 inches.(Not with my ‘heels on ) so now, he’s also afraid that he stunt his growth. So, does ‘heels stun his growth? Because guys are not meant for heels, mainly girls.(no offense) so i really dont care about my height, but he is scared so did this affect his growing? I’m thinking of having another bet of him wearing them but im scared if i hurt him too much. He keeps complaining about the bottom of his toes. My high heels are wedged and lether black with straps. So, there is a weird black flower on it and it acts like a strap. There are also a strap right near the bottom of the toes. In order to wear them, you have to get two straps and connect them like a belt for jeans. the strap on the back probably hurt his achiles tendon but im not sure about the toe pain, there are straps for the toes but it doesnt hurt me. May b his shoe size is too big? he wears tens for boys but i wear 6 1/2 for girls. at first it was 5″ red stileto heels but i felt bad so i gave him my 3″ ones(its the one i jus said, the wedge black 1) wedges are made for more comfort, stiletos usually hurt more but apparently the black wedge 1 hurt him. so, please answer all my questions so i cud torture him more! jus kidding, i really care about him so help me out

back in january i rolled my right ankle inwards and just left it til in april i went to the doctors( just my family doctor) because it really started to hurt and he told me it was a high ankle sprain and told me to go buy an air-cast brace thing and if it still hurts in a month to come back well it was still hurting and was getting weaker and so i went back in may. i never used crutches and still ain’t using them. when i walk i walk with a limp. i got an x ray and nothing it broken or fractured. but now it still weak and is still painful. it’s still black and blue, swollen and a little red. the pain started out on the outside of my ankle and now it’s behind in my Achilles area and the inner part of my ankle and the top part of it. do you think i did more damage to it? oh and saturday i was walking with my friends and i didn’t see that there was a hole in the ground because of the grass and my bad ankle fell in and i rolled or twisted it again…but that just made the pain before hurt worse. what should i do? my mom said she gonna wait til i’m outta school to make another dr. appointment that way i don’t have to worry about going to school with crutches or anything like that. i end school in 6 days. also i’m 15 and very active. what should i do? what kind of damage do you think i did? how do i know if i hurt my Achilles tendon?

I have an extremely high tolerence for pain and I was wondering why, and what I should do. For example, I recently found out my achilles tendon is chonicly enflamed and agitated and it’s in stage 4 (or whatever it’s called) and I didn’t even know it. The only reason why I ever found out was because I was walking strange. I was born with a club foot and had my first surgery at 6 months old. I am allergic to codine and loratab, so when they did the surgeries I could only take Tylenol and Motrin for the pain. I have had 21 casts, my tonsils and adnoids taken out, and 6 stiches. How am I to know when I am in grave danger, because I can barely feel anything? And why is this so?

Recently while playing ball, I sprained it all over again. I cannot jump and land on the left foot becuz the part that separates the top part of the ankle and the tibia and fibula is in pain. I can flex my foot downwards but when I flex my foot inwards to stretch my Achilles tendon, the pain in the higher part of the ankle is unbearable. Also I am well aware that i have torn lateral ligament and possibly a torn anterior talo-fibular ligament.

High heel shoes refer to a pair of fashionable women`s footwear which raises the wearer`s feet significantly higher than their toes. High heeled footwear creates an aesthetically taller, slender and more toned figures. They are available in a diverse range of styles and shapes like stilettos, pumps, blocks, tapered, wedge and blade.

According to fashion icons, a heel which is above 8.5 cm is considered high while below that height is termed as low or medium heel. Normally, high heels are exclusively worn by women but cowboy boots and Cuban heels are also sported by men. Initially raised heels developed as the response to riders` feet slipping forward from the stirrup while riding but in the subsequent decades it has become more stylized.

France led in the creation of high heeled shoes for men and women which later spread to pockets of nobility in other countries. The term `well heeled` became synonymous with opulence. Following the French Revolution there was a decline in this trend but it resurfaced in fashion in late 1800s.

While lower heels were preferred during the late 70s, high heels returned in fashion in late 80s and early 90s. In the meantime the shape of fashionable heel had changed from block (70s) to tapered (90s) and stilettos (80s and post 2000). In recent times high heels heights vary from kitten heel of 4 cm to stilettos or spike heel of 10 cm or more. Extremely high heeled footwear worn for aesthetic reasons are higher than 13 cm but are not considered practical for every day wear.

Court shoes are traditional types and often used as formal footwear while for evening wear such styles have become more adventurous. Wedge heel is another type of high heel where the heel extends till the toes. Wearing high heel footwear by women is primarily guided by its aesthetics appeal. It is believed that high heels alter the angle of the foot with respect to the lower leg, thereby, enhancing the shape of the calves.

They also add height to the wearer and make the legs appear longer and well shaped. In contrast, the size of foot gives the illusion of being smaller while the arches appear more defined. Even the lower leg muscle look better toned that accounts for the wearer creating an over all impression of flexibility and strength.

Some women have experienced the side effects of wearing shoes with high heels. Still, the voluntarily step into a pair of designer shoes as they can not resist the temptation of wearing a beautiful pair of high heel shoes. But legs are important part of our body and they need equal attention and care as they bear the weight of the whole body. Hence, women should be careful while wearing high heel shoes just for the sake of looking fashionable.

Also, podiatrists believe that 75% of women using high heels often suffer from severe foot problems such as intense pain, foot deformities, unsteady gait, shortening strides and may also result in degenerative knee joint changes. Often high heel shoes causes Achilles tendon, blisters, corn and may even contract lower back muscles. If it is not possible to avoid high heels, doctors suggest that those wearing such footwear should save these heels for special occasions while wearing well cushioned shoes for the rest of the day.
