why am i always hurt! tendonitis?
so i over trained last xc season(went from never running in my life to 12 miles a day, atleast 5 days a week)..and i never took time off to recover from my injuries, i just ran through them.
same with track. i had xc practice in the morning, track after school, then i ran on my own.
this summer i was forced to take off and heal. i did, and lost alot of muscle doing so(i also went on extreme dieting, which i now regret). so my times were really slow when i started running 2 weeks ago. i didnt over train though, about 2-3 miles a day, thats it.but then i got tendonitis in my knee!! i took a week off and thought it healed, but i had a really short run today and my knee is hurting again! before, my injuries were mainly in my ankles/calves, no real probs with my knee.
how do i stop this? prevent it? what cures tendonitis? how do i run through it?
the other kids on the team have been running all summer and already competing!! i havent run at all and am so out of shape!! how do i get in shape quicker so i dont look so slow at meets?

why do my ankles hurt when i wear ballet flats?
my dad (a doctor) said its peroneal tendinitis…idk wat that is!!! if ne one knows… TELL ME i miss my flats!
My ankles started to hurt/swell 6 wks ago.After 4 wks phys ther. they still hurt.& now my wrists are stiff. y?
I havn’t seen the Dr. about the wrists yet. They thought the ankle problem was tendonitis. The top of my feet hurt at the joint, my ankles swell alternately on the insides or outsides or both, and now my wrists hurt (the left started 3 days ago and now the right side has joined in. Later in the day I get migrating body aches (very deep aches) in asymetrical fashion throughout my body. I was told those pains are probably stress. Anyone have any ideas?
How to make my ankle hurt less while riding?
OK so i broke me ankle last year, so the doctor said it was healed and everything and that i could go back to riding in 1 week.But instead I didn’t ride again for like 3 months.But any way I ride english so i have to have heals down toes up and in but when i do that it hurts my ankle really bad then that pain goes into my foot its so bad i can’t even keep my foot still during cantering.Yesterday i rode for like an hour mostly cantering and stuff and now this morning my ankle is really sore and my Achilles tendon is bruised. what should i do?
top of foot and ankle hurt after running?
hi, I am 18 years old. i have a problem sprinting around the block (555 m perimeter – measured with google earth lol)
So, around 4-5 times a week i sprint around the aforementioned block once or twice in order to help my sinus problems. I go full speed. I do not get tired at all. However, around mid way, my ankles and feet begin to pain, especially the left one. By the time i reach the end of the lap, I cannot move my foot up (i can stand on my toes-still very painful-but I can’t point my left foot upwards). So basically, I can barely walk after this – as my right foot hurts and my left foot severely hurts. I used to be flat footed, but got rid of it through yoga exercises my grandma taught me. However, my arches are still low and i consider them weak (hard for me to stand on one foot sometimes even). I was thinking that the Achilles tendon in my left foot especially may be short? Or maybe my gait is wrong? Another thing is that when i wake up in the morning, my ankles and feet are very stiff. One last thing, when i compare the arches on my feet, the right one is higher than the left one. Is that bad?
By the way, this pain doesnt really happen after say I play an hour of basketball then go sprinting. But it does also happen when i jog at a medium pace for half a mile and up.
What can be the problem and is there any way to fix this?

Why does my Ankle hurt?
My ankle hurts way down above my heal on what i think is my Achilles tendon. It hurts on the actual part of the tendon that you can grab. It feels like I strained it but i really don’t think I did any physical activity that would cause that. So as far as I know this pain has come out from no where and it is worrying me because its difficult to walk and I’m afraid walking will make it worse.
Do you think it will go away? It has been hurting for about a day and a half now.
Calves hurt so much when running?
So today for xc practice I had to run 6 miles which I’ve done before with no pain.
But today, after only a couple miles, my lower calves (mostly my achilles tendon) on both legs was killing me. I had to walk parts of it which really sucked because I’ve 1)I’ve done it before and 2) I wasn’t even out of breath or tired yet.
What should I do? I’m not out of shape, so don’t say that. I’ve been running at least 2 or 3 times a week for the past few years, and in the past 2 months I’ve been running 6x a week.
Could it be the way I’m running? Like, my form or something?
Please help…
I don’t think it’s the pavement because when we run on grass, or even surfaces that are just kind of uneven, my ankles and calves KILL (which really sucks since cross country courses are basically all on grass).
And yeah, we run 6 miles straight (a couple people ran 10 miles today :O )
How much does a Cortisone shot hurt?
I have Tendonitis in my foot, like my whole foot (except for the Achilles tendon area, and I know the risk with getting it in the Achilles tendon already). I’ve tried a gel, and a patch to try and help me be able to dance without pain, and at first the gel helped, but then it stopped working, so just last night my doctor had my try a patch, and it didn’t help at all, no relief whatsoever.
The pain from the Tendonitis is in my big toe, and leading up the top of my foot across the top of my 1st Metatarsal, and into my ankle.
I guess I kind of have three questions…(From doctors only or someone who has experienced a Cortisone shot, please) Should I get a Cortisone shot to help my Tendonitis along in the healing process? Where should I get a Cortisone shot, since there are three areas that hurt? And how much does it hurt?

what to do.. my ankles hurt?
a lot of ppl would say ihave thick ankles or (cankles) lately they look more like cankles cause they are swollen so is the arch of my foot i get shooting pain in the arch of my foot and back of ankle where achilles tendon is. its so sore. i dont do any sports n im deff not preggo so what is up? they hurt and it looks sorta bruised in the back where the achilles tendon is suppose to show
